As I am now a London gal and working for Harrods(loving it!) I wanted to introduce a couple of brands that I am overly excited about, brands that I am actually selling!

Olivier Theyskins is a brilliant man behind many brands and collections. Born in Belgium, studied fashion design but quickly moved onto creating his own collections. Theyskens has designed collections for amazing fashion houses like Rochas and Nina Ricci. This mastermind is now collaborating with Andrew Rosen(CEO) from Theory and has created something fantastic like this:

Fashion, a general term for a currently popular style or practice, especially in clothing, foot wear, or accessories. Fashion references to anything that is the current trend in look and dress up of a person. ~Wikipedia.

So, what is Fashion to you? I've listed a few directions/thoughts/meanings, pick yours.

1. Fashion? "I just wear whatever I've got clean in my closet. Comfort first, I'll buy whatever is cheapest and just throw it on. Oh, and isn't Vogue a dance style?". Erhmmm...

2. I follow the styles around me..whatever is in the shops and I happen to like it-even if it does NOT suit your body type at ALL-I'll buy it and wear it. It's not such a big deal really, might open the Vogue, if it happens to be on the table at a cafe(not caring what year it's from.. May 2004..perfect! not).

3. Vogue? Yeah, right. I'm alternative, you see. I don't follow a fashion magazine, I don't follow anything or anyone except my own two feet to the flea markets and vintage stores. I'm oh so very different, you see. I wear the whole "1950's pin up girl/my grandma's whole closet on me right now/ bohemian shabby chiq-look". Cause am just so cool..like, seriously.

4. OMG- "I buy everything, and anything that I see on Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, because they're such an inspiration". Vogue is my bible, literally. I pray to Anna Wintour every night, and say grace before every carb free meal, too". Overlyoverthetop-Follow fashion like your dog follows you-blindly, awaiting a treat.

5. I love Fashion. I love waking up in the morning, picking out something creative and expressive from my closet. My style reveals my emotions. Eyes are said to be the windows to the Soul, to me Fashion/Style is the key to the door of the Soul. I read about fashion, in blogs, in Vogue, I study the history of it because it's fascinating. I build my own style through the passing fashion. It has simply become a part of me. "Style stays while fashion fades"~Coco Chanel. So build your own everlasting style.

Where do you stand with Fashion? Whether it be a mix of a couple of these or ultimately one of them, let me know. I'm intrigued.

Fashion is everywhere, it's moving right around us, all the time. It's fast, super quick, you might not catch it. So study it, look at your surroundings, people around you are all telling you something about themselves.

Never feel inexpressive about expressing yourself through fashion.

My style is changing. I'm becoming...a bit of a hipster. You know what I mean, that girl you see every morning sitting on the bus with her tights ripped, with red/black/purple/orange lipstick on, rockin red Doc Martins on the feet, and most probably wearing something that's washed out denim, skirt or perhaps the 80's style shoulder padded coat, not to forget the Tupac style head bandanna.

Oh! And not to forget the "totally awesome" sunglasses that are oh so suitable even during the night!

Well, anyway...I'm becoming a bit like that, intentionally. I'm kinda liking the whole "it's Ok to look sleep deprived/depressed/totally ready for drugs and some heavy machinery"-look. I guess the Autumn's darkness is bringing this side out of me. Interesting, I must say.

One place, where hipsters are breeding like rats is Camden Town in London. Amazing. Just the perfect place for my above described girl. Camden Town is truly what I'd call "Hipster Heaven", the shops, galleries and pubs embrace it. Be different! is the motto.

Being a hipster isn't only about the fashion, it's also about life style. You want to dress and live courageously, absolutely outrageously, you don't care about mixing prints or drinking a pint at 9 in the morning, you live freely without boundaries or hauntings of what other people might say.

Finding out that life doesn't always go exactly the direction you planned, is hard. Often, we want this, we want that without thinking about what we actually need. All the things you are meant to have in this life, you will have, eventually. When you think about it, isn't it better not to get all of the things we want, all at the same time?
Patience is a virtue, right?
We are all human(vampires and werewolves on Twilight-seeking for our destiny and purpose, not included of course). We go through days, hours, minutes and seconds constantly, time doesn't stop nor wait for you to figure out you. So you have to keep things moving. Do NOT stop, do NOT let anything or anyone stop you. Only you can determine what you want from your life, you make day to day decisions that, either good or bad, lead you to your destination.

Go hard, or go home!
Do not waste your time on pointless bullshit or on fake, unnecessary people. There are over six billion people on this planet, so stop desperately hanging onto the ones that don't truly care about you. Find yourself, your true self, only then you'll be able to recognise the trueness in other people, to separate the gems from the stones.
Trust your intuition, your gut, it's always I repeat, ALWAYS right!

Meeting these other six billion people takes a lot of strength, courage and knowledge. Be strong to carry out your opinions and your character; if they don't like or respect all qualities in you, then be strong enough to walk away from them. Have enough courage to walk up to a stranger and say "hi!", there's nothing wrong with changing a stranger into a friend. We are all strangers to each other in the beginning aren't we? So be courageous enough to open that door into the unknown.
Never doubt the information people signal to you, consciously or unconsciously , but do use your knowledge to recognise the truth. Know, that nobody should make you feel worth less than you are, because you are great, beautiful, smart, kind and a loving person. There are many people that won't see these things in you, and that's when you need to trust your own knowledge of you.

Continue on the path of life, find your destination without forgetting the journey.

I wanted to do a thorough post for all my male readers. I appreciate men who take the time and actually think what they wear! It's important to be who you are, feel comfortable and unique. I know, for men it's mostly all about comfort, so I wanted to write down some of the key things every man should own. Hope I gave you some new ideas fellas! Enjoy, this one's for you.

1. Oh so chic

I'm sure not that many of you men out there would ever wear a fur coat, but am just saying...Kanye kinda rocks it! So don't be scared to try it out. Plus, it's extra warm!

A black blazer, for me, is the MOST important thing that a man just has/needs/should want to have!!! If you don't, get one 1st thing tomorrow, thank you.

This is what I'd call effortless chic. A blue pattern of tank top, jacket, and blue jeans. Very very simple yet so stylish. And the Gold watch! So fabulous...I just got myself one at a vintage market. Adds a bit of extra to any look.

Grey trousers are a fantastic way to give any outfit a unique, polished look. Even if worn with a printed tee, adds a lot to the outfit. If you're thinking "but those are like suit pants, not for everyday...", you're wrong! When you combine a chic pare of pants with a basic t shirt you're rocking the " effortless chic" which always works for the ladies! You can find these "jaw dropper" pants from H&M for only 19.99£.

Bow tie's are very much in, so spice your day outfit with a bow tie for a more fancy look.

I love these Chino's! Just truly great pants, aren't they?? The colour, the "paper bag" feel of them...easy to combine, easy to transform from a daily to an evening look. Again, H&M offers the best price, only 14.99£.

Here is a fitted black jacket from H&M, can be worn in everyday casual wear or combined with a more dressy style. Great with dark jeans, also with vintage used jeans. Only 29.99!

I believe every man needs a Trench coat in their closet. No matter what colour, beige, black or brown, it is needed! You can find a trench coat in any store. Just make sure it's the right length for your body, and as fitted as possible from the shoulders. If you're a guy who sags pants really low(half booty out), make sure your jacket covers that booty up!

This grey, casual blazer from H&M for only 29.99. Goes with anything, jeans, chinos, t shirt etc. Add a colourful scarf for a unique look.

I love the briefcase! And the cute hat, this oldie can dress!!

From the Chanel A/W. Love it! Denim with denim is a great look. Just throw in a blazer or some accessories to brake the look off. Isn't the kid cute, checking out the babe's booty. His dad taught him well!

I lift my hat for Kanye West. He is a mastermind in music, and in fashion! Again, a combination of simple jeans, white t shirt and a black blazer goes a very long way guys. Don't over think it fellas. If you feel like the outfit is too boring, do like Kanye and add a nice splash of colour with your shoes and maybe a nice scarf.

2. Street/Casual wear

Here's a combo of Chino's, and as I said before, they really go with anything. A nice, rusty denim shirt is a perfect match with chino's.

Here is a denim washed shirt from H&M, only 19.95£.

Guys, spend a bit of extra on good jeans. They are a necessity used everyday, night or day so make sure they look amazing!

I'm really feeling these vintage looks. The shoe game is nice, the colours are brave; good look!

Tip; check out nice vintage/second hand stores for a unique finish!

The Cardigan...very easy to wear guys. With some fitted jeans and leather shoes. I'm very keen on grey cardigans, they suit anybody! .

This one is from H&M, 24.99£.

I really love this leather jacket, it's clearly vintage and probably one of its kind. Try to check out those vintage shops, I'm sure you can find something similar. There's nothing better like a unique leather jacket!

Pharell is wearing a black aviator jacket. This is a great buy, a mix of leather and just a bit of fur.

These long fall back jackets are quite different, mix it with your style and you'll be sure to catch some eyes on the road!

Oh, this is one of my favourite Kanye looks. The jacket is amazing, combined with the jeans and the sun glasses; parfait! If you can find a fly jersey jacket like this, then buy it. Nice ones are really hard to find!

3. Blazered up.

Kanye wearing a very simple suit, nicely fitted and looks fantastic. Make sure you have at least one fitted suit in your closet, you never know when the fame hits ya ;)

This is a very smart look, pinstriped blazer with jeans and Louis Vuitton scarf. And again, the Gold watch, just adds that extra touch!

Here we can see a slightly braver look, grey trouser combined with a red blazer. If you're brave enough fellas, I say go for it. Dress to impress!

And of course, the black suit with a quirky bow tie. Please get one!

Halloweeeeen!

Halloween came and went again. I had my first Halloween of properly dressing up, going out and "celebrating" this scary festive. Here in the UK, Halloween is celebrated very nicely, not overly commercially or-throw-it-in-my-face kinda way. Certainly differed from the modest way that we celebrated/celebrate it in Finland. On Sunday I saw houses decorated in the most horrifying way, with signs on their windows "Come in, trick or treat", and parents walking down the spooky cold streets of Oxford holding their child's hand, going from door to door collecting some treats. Though Halloween gives me the shivers, I still find it a heart-warming, family celebration.
The night before, on Saturday me, my boyfriend and my lovely Spanish Latinas went out to celebrate. Me and the girls dressed up as "Dark Angels" with black feather wings, feather fake lashes and sexy dresses. Charles was our ruler as the "Demon", had a fantastic time with you guys! Cheers-as we say here in the UK!

Awwww, Kanye Kanye....Album Cover banned? Oh yes!

Kanye West's new album called My Beautiful Twisted Fantasy. Has a rather "interesting" album cover, actually so interesting that it has been banned in the U.S. Yesterday Kanye tweeted, “Yoooo they banned my album cover!!!!! Ima tweet it in a few…”

Kanye decided to tweet a photo of the album cover last night explaining its inspiration, “in the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now.” —Anslem Samuel. As you can see, the cover features a portrait on a red background, with a nude black man in a sexual position with an "angelic" white woman laying on top. Kanye's other tweet from last night, “Banned in the USA!!!,” Kanye tweeted. “They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!” I think it's kinda hilarious to be honest, but hopefully he gets his album cover released. He clearly finds that this cover describes his album perfectly so he should be allowed to express his creativity.

Let me enlighten you sweetheart: NO YOU ARE NOT!
I should be about your height 5'9, and I love heels, I wear heels even when going to the grocery store. The higher the better! Heels give me a confidence boost, they make me feel sexy and proud. I honestly believe that any clothing that makes you feel like that should be worn, constantly. Don't ever be too scared to express youself in the way that makes you feel amazing, like a Goddess. Because when other people around you see that glorious confidence shining through, they won't dare question your outfit choices.
Before, people always used to ask me: Don't you mind being so tall? And my answer was always, no. Absolutely NO I do not mind! I love wearing my high heels and nobody could ever change that. So, my darling don't let others bring you down. Wear your HIGHEST heels and be proud!
As long as you feel good you don't have to worry about what others say. And anyways, the only reason they're questioning you is probably because they decided to wear flats that morning and feel completely dressed down next to you ;)

Yeah, I said it!

Chanel's collaboration with soft drink Coca Cola is ticking me off like a time bomb. The genius Karl Lagerfeld decided to let go some of that genius by designing a fancy, 64$ Coca Cola LIGHT bottle. I remember discussing this last Spring when they released it but never really got to the bottom of it. Three things I must address :

1. Why have they only designed a Coca Cola LIGHT bottle, why not a normal one as well?

2. Why does Karl Lagerfeld have the need to provoke the industry in such ravishing ways?

3. Seriously, we know you cant stand "plus size" models but bottles?? WOW!

All I can say is that I'm disappointed. I understand that designers have their ideas and images of how they want their clothes to be carried, worn and presented. But when it comes to the world's most popular soft drink, that children under the age of 10 drink, provoking the idea of thin and skinny as the ideal of beauty isn't right. Surely Coca Cola light contains less sugar, which is good for health but the idea behind this particular campaign doesn't inspire healthiness, quite the opposite.

Let me introduce you to a beautiful model-Crystal Renn. Who is she?
She happens to be a "plus size" model(yeah right) who modelled for Chanel and also walked the catwalk for their Resort 2011. She isn't plus size!! She's normal, average size, beautiful curves, she has a body similar to Marilyn Monroe and now she's called "plus size". Oh well, still happy there's someone who doesn't look like she's starving modelling for top designers. Keep doing ya thang gurl #kanyeshrug.

I feel like it's time for some change, again! I've had my own natural hair for a few months now but I'm thinking of putting on extensions again. Earlier this year my extensions were long, black ones. I'm thinking of going for the same type of look but this time having a middle lining rather than the side lining. I think it would suit me well, what do you guys think??

This is how my hair was before. Deep black extensions, side lining. I loved these ones as well but not sure if I want the side thingy again, I've liked my hair lined in the middle...

Thigh-high boots have been in the game ever since Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Surely, at first they were recognized as a part of the "hooker" look but since the fashion world tends to change even some trashy trends into the most fabulous ones, thigh-high boots have become a musthave in every woman's closet. I advice to wear these skyhigh boots during the A/W season, S/S season might get a bit hot and sticky, when they provide warmth and style to any gal. Love them, wear them!! They are a must ;)

These boots work in different colours as well, not only in black. just select a neutral colour pattern and you shall be gorgeous!

These are my favourite looks! Especially the one on the right. That's my ideal "thigh-high boot" look; a LONG black blazer paired with those gorgeous black, leather sky high boots; FIERCE!

Here you see looks worn from "daily-to-glam". Don't be afraid to wear the thigh high boot on a daily basis. During winter they work as leg warmers adding that bit of extra to any outfit, giving you an edge and that "glam rock" style that's so totally HOT right now.

WARNING: as fabulous as the thigh-high boots are, they can easily look, grhmm, "hoe-ish", kinda like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, so be very cautious in pairing them with the right outfit. Nothing too revealing, PLEASE!

Statement Necklace; pure genius! They should be worn on a cloudy, rainy, dark day to spice up that dull LBD that you're just tired of wearing. Or even on a sunny, warm day to lighten up that simple white beach dress that just seems so...old. Statement necklaces can be worn with anything that needs that extra "umpht". They give any outfit an edgier, chic, stylish look. Trust me, there is no sense in buying a new dress for every party(like I do), all you need to do is add a chunky, colourful necklace on and immediately you have a completely "new" outfit that will certainly turn heads! Go on girl, "stunt on 'em hoes" ;)

My ideal statement necklace look would be a tight , black dress with 3/4 sleeves and strong shoulder pads, metallic or colourful necklace with some classic HIGH black pumps.

The look could be completed with a nice beige, powder, baby pink bleizer...aaah sounds too good to me!

Try it out girls! With a slightly shorter, "dazzlier" version of this dress above, maybe with an open back you can create a more "club friendly" look for total sexiness! Trust me, a classy, chic chick impresses a hella lot more than a trashy "my panties are showing, woopsie" kinda chick.

As you have all noticed, my blog has been quite "non-existent" for a while now. I honestly, can't defend myself, don't have any excuses...all I can say is that I am sorry for letting that happen. Great news though(I hope) I feel like I am back on track and ready to start posting my daily doses of style at its best, fashion for true hunger and inspiration to all the free souls out there.

I am going through some VERY exiting times in my life right now; moving to England on Wednesday, looking for new jobs and truly deciding what I would love to do for the rest of my life. Seems like a lot doesn't it? Well, I'm the kinda girl who's up for a challenge and definitely ready for change!

Change is good. In life, where most things around us work as routine, we need change. New job, new Love, new home, excitement and thrill. Risks are there to be taken, without them how would we know anything? I'm the kinda girl who will try anything(morally right for me) once, maybe even twice! I think it's important to dare and be scared sometimes. Not knowing is what pushes us everyday isn't it? We don't know what the future entails but making the presence count will surely make the future count too.
So don't be scared, be excited! What's the worst thing that could happen, right?

Scarborough- the town of love

Just spent a few weeks with my bubu Charles in England. He lives in a town called Scarborough where he goes to university. It's so beautiful! We had fun, partied at all the student parties and had late night wine drinking at the beach. London is not the only place to visit when you go to the UK. Brighton, Scarborough, Manchester, Birmingham and Oxford are all fantastic places to visit. The Brighton beach is super popular during the summer, I'll put up some photos when I visit there this summer. Hope you're all excited about this summer, I know I am! xx

Trying hard to figure out this thing...Are the promises you make to be trusted? I hope they are because I can't handle another disappointment.

Am I to care about the small things, or are the bigger things the ones I should believe. Everytime you get closer I get scared. My heart is fragile as the shell of an egg, and I'm so very scared. Should I let go and trust, or should I back down and protect my heart...You have the key, you're the thief I've dreamt of. I can runaway but I can't hide anymore. I have to face my fears, I have to take the risk and believe that in the end it'll all be ok.

I miss being a kid. I use to live in the moment, not think about my outfit for tomorrow, or what I need to do. I did things out of joy, not out of obligation. I use to throw myself to Love...I trusted it, and I believed in it. Now...I question everything, I doubt if your promises can be trusted, whether you're telling me the truth or not. I miss it, I miss myself, and what I use to be.

I don't know if I'm crazy for demanding something of you, that you might not be able to give. I want real love, inconvenient, mind and heartblowing, "I can't live without you"-kinda love. Everytime, when I feel like you are the one who can give me all that, I wake up and see the reality.

I do have hope though. I've chosen you. I've chosen to give you the key to my heart, and even if I put up the bars sometimes, you still have my heart. You and me, we're unbreakable. With you, I can take a risk...I am willing to take the egg out of the box, and actually run with it. If it shall break, then it shall. It'll heal back, I'm sure. Love is beautiful when it's scary.

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever good enough!
When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters…
That’s why you have to be careful with whom you share your blessings and your dreams, because some folk can’t handle seeing you blessed…
It’s dangerous to be like somebody else… If God wanted you to be like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?
You never know what people have gone through to get what they have…
The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don’t know my story…
If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!
We’ve all got some haters among us!
Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb (if he / she isn’t about the right thing)
e) Raise your children without both parents being in the home

Haters can’t stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.
Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be on our side.
How do you handle your undercover haters?

You can handle these haters by:
1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are *(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not mean having a job. You can have a job and still be unfulfilled. A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be. Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live…when its your time to leave this earth, you ‘want’ to be able to say, ‘I’ve lived my life and fulfilled ‘my’ dreams,… Now I’m ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, ‘Don’t look at me…Look at Who is in charge of me…’
